As to what am I doing for Christmas: recovering from all the Advent services in the church I serve plus the Christmas Eve service! What would I make? Probably something to take to Fellowship Time – I always bake something new every week so folk can have a treat and coffee.
We are traveling to New Orleans to be with family.
Well, one day around Christmas, my daughters and I will be driving to my sisters’s in Wisconsin (about 3 hours each way) and spending the day with her and her family. My youngest daughter is supposed to be coming home for Christmas, too, so hopefully we’ll be able to do the trip to my sister’s while she’s here. Daughter #1 lives about half an hour from us, so we’ll definitely be seeing her, and daughter #2 lives at home. Her boyfriend will be here, too. Hopefully we’ll get good weather this year.
This will be the first Christmas without my Mom, but I imagine I will see my brother’s family on Christmas Eve & Christmas Day. (They live just across the street.)
I would make some homemade bread
Hummingbird cake!
I’m a big baker, especially at Christmas, so I’d be putting the new mixer to good use by making all sorts of breads and cookies, especially Snickerdoodles!!!!!!!
