Our friends got married in Switzerland. I was so excited to visit their local bakery and try this Swiss Apple Pie. It was absolutely dreamy and yummy!
In a bowl, combine the egg, sugar, and vanilla.
Mix until blended.
Combine the flour, baking powder and salt; stir into egg mixture just until moistened.
Don’t overbeat.
Simple and delicious ingredients.
Fold in chopped apples and walnuts.
Transfer to a greased 9-inch pie plate.
Bake at 350 degrees F for 30 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.

- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the egg, sugar, and vanilla.
- Combine the flour, baking powder and salt; stir into egg mixture just until moistened.
- Fold in apples and walnuts.
- Transfer to a greased 9-in. pie plate.

- Cool on a wire rack.
