Dip marshmallow into candy coating and immediately into blue sprinkles.
When we were looking for a fun 4th of July dessert, we decided to have a little fun with our Red, White, and Blue Dipped Marshmallows that we made last year.
I had to share them with you this year! We think these Dipped Marshmallows turned out great, and more importantly, they taste great too!
Place marshmallow on waxed paper until set.
Remove the toothpick from the marshmallow and use to create a small hole in the sprinkle side of the marshmallow.
Press marshmallows onto straws or treat sticks with a twisting motion.
Melt the red candy melts in the microwave according to package directions giving special care not to overheat the candy. If the candy is overheated, it will be too thick.
You can add 1 teaspoon of vegetable shortening or coconut oil to help thin the chocolate but do not add any other type of liquid as the candy will seize and harden.
Dip marshmallow into candy coating and immediately into red sprinkles.
***Important***: Let marshmallows dry completely before packaging or serving.
