Banana Split No Bake Pie

This cool and refreshing Banana Split No-Bake Pie is a make-ahead effort. It needs several sessions in the refrigerator and freezer to become set entirely and chilled before serving. I like to make it the night before. It’s worth it. This pie is a showstopper of a no-bake cheesecake. It will take center stage on the dessert table for special events. It’s a fun and creative take on a classic summer dessert.

Ingredients Needed

For The Graham Cracker Crust:
Graham Cracker Crumbs: Crush the crumbs in a Ziploc bag. You can also use a food processor or blender to create them.
Sugar – Use white granulated sugar to help sweeten the crust.
Butter – unsalted and melted. The butter is mixed with the cookie crumbs and sugar to help moisten the crust.

For The Vanilla Cheesecake
Cream cheese – set it out to soften it to blend easily and without clumps.
Powdered Sugar – to sweeten the cream cheese filling.
Vanilla Extract – to flavor the filling.
Cool Whip – thawed to fold into the filling to help create a creamy and light texture.
Hot Fudge Sauce: Add it to the cheesecake filling. Swirl it in lightly with a knife to create a beautiful design.

For The Whipped Cream Topping:
Heavy Whipping Cream – use it to make the whipped topping. This goes on top of the pie.
Powdered Sugar – to sweeten the whipped cream topping.
Vanilla Extract – to flavor the whipped cream.

For The Cheesecake Topping Decorations
Premade Frosting – in 3 flavors: vanilla, strawberry, and chocolate. Use your favorite brand. It will be used to decorate the top of the cheesecake pie to look like scoops of ice cream.
Maraschino Cherries – To garnish the top of the cheesecake pie.
Banana Chips – To garnish the top of the cheesecake pie.

How To Make Banana Split No Bake Pie

Note: This is a summary of the steps. For detailed instructions, see the recipe card down below.

Can I Use Spray Can Whipped Cream Instead?

To decorate the top of the chilled cheesecake pie, use a store-bought can of whipped cream. This is for making your own whipped cream instead of making your own. Be sure to use cool whip whipped topping to fold into the filling.

Can I Use A Premade Crust?

You can, but use a deep-dish 9-inch graham cracker crust. This recipe is designed for a springform pan. The pre-made crust must be deep enough and large enough to hold the filling and toppings.

Why Are There No Bananas In This Recipe?

Hard and crunchy banana chips decorate the top of the cheesecake pie. You can swap these out for sliced bananas if you prefer. However, don’t decorate too early; they will turn brown the longer they sit. Add a teaspoon of banana extract for a more prominent banana flavor. Also, add a teaspoon of vanilla extract when mixing up the cheesecake filling.
