Eggnog Cinnamon Rolls

This post is sponsored in conjunction with ChristmasSweetsWeek. I received product samples from sponsor companies to aid in the creation of the ChristmasSweetsWeek recipes. All opinions are mine alone.

Perfectly spiced, pillowy bites of buttery layers, these eggnog cinnamon rolls are just begging to be enjoyed. A wonderful addition to any breakfast, brunch or dessert for the holiday or anytime.

These eggnog cinnamon rolls are wonderfully soft, smooth, rich and flavorful. Add them to your seasonal baking recipes!

LorAnn Oils are celebrating their 56th year in business!

Founder and pharmacist O.K. Grettenberger first started selling LorAnn’s products out of his drug store in Okemos, Michigan with some of the first bottling done in the basement of his home.

His daughter, Ann, has fond memories of filling 1-dram bottles while watching soap operas on TV!  Back then, LorAnn only sold its essential oils and flavorings in one size. Today, they are one of the USA’s leading suppliers!

Don’t wait for December to try their Eggnog flavoring! With notes of nutmeg, cinnamon, and vanilla, this flavor can be used to add depth to your desserts all year round!

This Eggnog Cinnamon Rolls are festive and delicious. Even if you don’t like eggnog, you will love these cinnamon rolls!

LorAnn Super-Strength flavors are gluten-free and highly concentrated. They can be used in so many different ways, such as candy making and baking. They are 3-4x stronger than the typical extract. When baking use 1/4 -1/2 teaspoon per cup of butter or shortening.

For the Eggnog Cinnamon Rolls filling, combine butter, sugar, nuts and LoAnn Super Strength Eggnog Flavor.

Mix until combined.

Spread half of the filling on the crescent dough.

Sprinkle Pecans and cinnamon. Roll up.

To make the frosting, in a bowl combine Dixie Crystals Powdered Sugar, butter, cream cheese, LorAnn Super Strength Eggnog Flavor.

Since I used store bought crescent dough, the prep time is super quick for these cinnamon rolls. You can always make your own dough, it takes time, but well worth the outcome!

Check out those buttery layers, nutty buttery filling and creamy icing!

Share a couple with your friends, you will feel less guilty about eating 6!

Eggnog Cinnamon Rolls
Yield: 12 cinnamon rolls

Eggnog Cinnamon Rolls

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 22 minutes
Total Time: 32 minutes

Perfectly spiced, pillowy bites of buttery layers, these eggnog cinnamon rolls are just begging to be enjoyed. A wonderful addition to any breakfast, brunch or dessert for the holiday or anytime.

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375° F.
  2. Use a 9” x 13” shiny metal baking pan.
  3. If using a dark or nonstick pan, reduce heat to 350° F.
  4. Soften butter in microwave.
  5. In a bowl, stir together the softened butter, brown sugar, LorAnn Eggnog Flavor and ½ tsp ground cinnamon.
  6. Unroll both tubes of crescent dough sheets.
  7. On each sheet, take half of the filling and evenly spread it across the entire sheet, except for a one-inch border around the edge. Evenly sprinkle each sheet with ¼ tsp ground cinnamon and ¼ cup chopped pecans.
  8. Starting with the short side of each rectangle, roll up to form a log and place seam-side down. With a serrated knife, cut each rectangle in half, then each half into 3 equal slices. If starting with the long side of the rectangle, you can make mini cinnamon rolls.
  9. Place the 12 cinnamon rolls in the baking pan. Bake for 17–22 minutes, or until golden brown. Cool for 5 minutes.
  10. While the rolls are cooling, in a small bowl, mix the powdered sugar, melted butter, softened cream cheese and LorAnn Eggnog Flavor until smooth. Spread frosting over rolls and sprinkle lightly with ground nutmeg, if desired. Serve warm.

Makes 12 rolls

Notes
