How To Make The Punch

In a large pitcher, combine the Pink Moscato wine and strawberry-flavored vodka. Add ice and frozen fruit to chill.

Pro Tips

  • If you’re not making this punch ahead of time, follow the directions as written,
  • If you are making it ahead of time and keeping it in the fridge to stay cold, follow the directions except don’t add the ice. If you do, it will just water it down. Add the ice only when you pull it out of the fridge to serve it.

What Is Moscato?

Moscato in Italian means muscat. Muscat is the variety of grapes used to make this fruity and semi-sparkling wine which is similar to Champagne. Moscato also has a low alcohol content, so it’s a great choice when paired with another alcohol. It’s a sweet wine, which makes it perfect for fruity cocktails.

What Type Of Moscato Do You Recommend?

When you’re ready to pick up a few bottles of Moscato for this punch, you’ll notice they come in 3 varieties: white, pink, and red. You want pink for this recipe. Pink Moscato is made from red Moscato grapes which help give it its pink color. I use whichever brand my store has on hand.

What Vodka Do You Recommend?

In this recipe, you’re looking for flavored vodka, so I just pick up whichever brand has the strawberry flavored in stock. Here’s a great tip: if you can’t find strawberry-flavored vodka, you can use vanilla flavored. Most liquor stores keep that in stock. And, in a pinch, unflavored will always work, too!

Variations

In keeping with the pink berry theme, here are two great variations for the winter holidays.

Cranberry
Just swap out the strawberry vodka for cranberry-flavored vodka and replace the strawberries and blueberries with fresh cranberries.

Pomegranate
Just swap out the strawberry vodka for pomegranate-flavored vodka and replace the strawberries and blueberries with fresh pomegranate arils.

What Do I Serve It In?

Because this is a batch punch, I mix it in a clear pitcher and stash it in the fridge to chill. That way, I can just pull it out when ready to serve and let the guests pour it themselves, right from the pitcher. These stemless glasses are a great match and reduce the chance of folks accidentally tipping them over.
