Indulge in this incredibly easy-to-make slow-cooker Salisbury Steak Meatballs recipe when craving a comfort meal. You only need a slow cooker, a bag of frozen meatballs, and basic pantry ingredients. This combination creates a savory and satisfying meaty dinner.
I love taking shortcuts in the kitchen, especially when the outcome is delicious! You don’t need to roll the ground beef into meatballs. This also avoids making a mess on the stovetop when browning them. Just use your favorite store-bought frozen meatballs.
The gravy makes itself in the slow cooker. It uses canned broth, a few packets of dry mix, and a handful of other seasoning.
This dump-and-go meal will cook all day and be ready to serve with minimal effort. You’ll love the tender meatballs smothered in rich, perfectly seasoned gravy. Serve it over your choice of mashed potatoes, rice, or egg noodles.

What Is Salisbury Steak?
Salisbury Steak is a popular American dish made with ground beef shaped into patties, seared and cooked in a skillet, and served with brown mushroom-and-onion gravy. This dish is typically accompanied by mashed potatoes or rice. With this recipe, you get the same delectable flavors but in a different form (meatballs) and less work since it’s all cooked in the slow cooker!

Can I Use Homemade Meatballs?
Sure! I have a great meatball recipe found here. Make the meatballs and either lightly pan-fry or bake them to hold their shape before continuing with this slow cooker version.

Can I Add In Mushrooms?
Of course! I suggest using a jar or can of already-sliced mushrooms (drained) to keep it easy and minimal prep.

How To Serve
If serving for a main meal, these Slow Cooker Salisbury Steak Meatballs are perfect served over my Slow Cooker Mashed Potatoes, rice, or egg noodles. You can even serve them as an open-faced sandwich over a sub roll or bun. Side items to go with this meal could include my green bean casserole or my broccoli and bacon salad. Finish off this incredible meal with a sweet treat such as my Apple Blondies With Cinnamon Glaze or a slice of my Creamy Peanut Butter Cheesecake.

Storage
Leftovers should be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. They can be reheated on the stovetop or in the microwave.
