If you are a ham lover, then you will love this recipe! Only 5 ingredients needed for this delicious ham.
Pour 2 cups of apple cider into a casserole dish. Score ham on all sides in a diamond pattern and place into the pot with the apple cider. Cover and cook for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
Remove ham from the dish, cover and keep warm. Reserve 1 cup of liquid from the dish and discard the rest.
Stir ginger, bourbon, brown sugar and reserved liquid into a saucepan. Set to the stove top to High and cook, uncovered for 10 minutes until mixture is reduced and thickened. Brush ham with brown sugar mixture and serve.

Baked Brown Sugar Ham
Ingredients
- 1 bone-in, Frick's Quality Meat fully cooked 1/2 ham (4-5 pounds),
- 2 cups of apple cider,
- 1 3-inch piece of fresh ginger, peeled and finely grated,
- 1/4 cup bourbon,
- 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
Instructions
- Preheat Oven to 375 F.
- Pour 2 cups of apple cider into a casserole dish.

If we don't buy bourbon, can you make a suggestion for a substitution that would work well?

You could substitute with vanilla or apple cider.
