It doesn’t look so pretty, hence the name dump cake, but it tastes amazing. The whole cake was devoured in seconds and everyone was asking for the recipe.
It’s the perfect recipe for a pot luck or holiday dessert, you just set it and forget it, until you smell the incredible wafts coming from your kitchen.

You will want to dig in as soon as it is done! I had to get it out of my house, I would have eaten the whole thing. Hubs doesn’t like parting with desserts so easily, but I told him it was for his own good!
The combo of the caramel apple cake and vanilla ice cream… oh my goodness, it doesn’t get any better than this!!
Dump out one 20 ounce can of apple pie filling.
On top, pour out one bag of yellow cake mix.
Pour ½ cup (1 stick) of melted butter on top of the cake mix. (DO NOT MIX INGREDIENTS TOGETHER! Just keep layering them!)
Sprinkle ¼ cup cinnamon sugar over the butter.
Add ½ cup salted caramel chips on top.
Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 3 ½ – 4 hours or high for 2 hours.
Serve warm with a big scoop of ice cream.
You will agree with me that this is the best dessert, pinky promise!
