When do you start baking Christmas cookies? We start putting up our decorations on my birthday (at the end of November) and then I let the baking begin. Friends and neighbors come over on the weekend for a Christmas baking party with their recipes in hand (and favorite requests) and every year I bake my favorites, plus add a couple of new recipes that look delicious.

No matter how many cookies I bake, they always quickly disappear. I also love giving Christmas cookies as gifts, since a lot of these holiday cookies travel well. I’ve even been included in a cookie swap for years and always look forward to seeing what other blogger bakers are creating this holiday season. Locally, my friends have a cookie party and bring three dozen of their favorite baked cookies and swap their delicious treats, while drinking festive libations and enjoying the fun conversation.
