Eggs – you need large eggs.

Milk – add it to the scrambled egg mixture.

Salt And Pepper – season the eggs.

Crescent Rolls – get a can of triangular crescent rolls.

Sausage Links – use your favorite pre-cooked links.

Shredded Cheddar Cheese – use it in the scrambled egg mixture and add extra when assembling the breakfast rolls.

Melted Butter – brush it on the top of the rolls before baking.

Variations

  • Meat: Any type or flavor of pre-cooked breakfast link sausage will work. Choose your favorite pork, turkey, chicken, etc. Don’t like sausage? Sub in cooked bacon, leftover holiday ham, or even deli ham.
  • Cheese: Cheddar is always a popular choice. However, you can swap it out with Swiss, Monterrey Jack, or smoked Gouda. You can use any cheese that will melt well when baked.
  • Add-Ins: Add finely diced or chopped veggies to your scrambled eggs for a heartier breakfast roll. Try diced bell peppers, sliced mushrooms, green onions, or finely chopped broccoli florets.
  • Melted Butter: Instead of brushing the assembled rolls with melted butter before baking, brush them with egg wash.

Are They Freezer-Friendly?

Yes! Bake them and let them cool completely. Package them individually or all together in an airtight container for the freezer. They will keep for up to 3 months. Reheat from frozen in the microwave for approximately 90 seconds. Alternatively, use the oven at 400 degrees F for about 15 minutes.

Storage

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or in the freezer for up to 3 months. To reheat from the fridge, microwave in 20-second increments until the desired temperature is reached. To reheat from frozen, microwave for approximately 90 seconds. Ingredients

  • Six large eggs
  • 1 Tablespoon of milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 (8- ounce) can of crescent rolls
  • Eight sausage links (pre-cooked)
  • One cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Two Tablespoons butter, melted

Instructions

    1. Gather all of the ingredients.
    2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. 
    3. Onto a large cutting board, unroll crescent rolls. Set aside. unwrap crescent roll dough
    4. Whisk together eggs, milk, ½ cup shredded cheese, and salt and pepper, as desired, in a mixing bowl for the scrambled eggs.eggs and cheese in bowl
    5. Cook in a large skillet, over medium heat, until scrambled and cooked through. cooked scrambled eggs
    6. Divide the eggs evenly among the rolls, concentrating the eggs towards the wider end of each crescent.divide eggs on crescent dough
    7. Sprinkle remaining cheese onto crescent rolls, dividing evenly.
    8. Add a sausage link to each roll.add sausage to eggs on dough
    9. Loosely roll up the crescent rolls, bringing the skinny end up and over, then under the wider end. Breakfast Crescent Rolls ready to eat
    10. Wrap the other two triangle ends and pinch them together to keep everything in place.
    11. Spray a baking sheet with non-stick spray, then place the rolls on the pan. Brush the rolls with melted butter.
    12. Bake 15-18 minutes, until crescents are golden brown.
