What You Need To Make Peach Dumplings:
- peaches
- butter
- brown sugar
- cinnamon
- nutmeg
- vanilla extract
- crescent roll dough
- lemon-lime soda
- Ice cream for serving
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease an 8×8 baking pan with cooking spray and set aside.
Cut the peaches into 4ths, and set them aside. In a medium-sized bowl whisk together the butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla, and set aside.
Roll out the crescent roll dough and separate the sections on a clean work surface. Place about 1 teaspoon of the butter mixture on the larger side of the dough.
Add one peach slice on top of the crescent dough on the larger side. Roll the dough around the peach, starting at the larger end. Place the dumpling into the prepared baking dish. Repeat with the remaining peaches and dough.
Evenly top the dumplings with the remaining butter mixture. Pour the lemon-lime soda around the dumplings, try not to get any on top, we want the butter mixture to not wash off.
Bake for 30-35 minutes until dark golden brown on top. Let cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, serve with ice cream, and top with the sauce on the bottom of the dish.
