What is Christmas Crack?

Whether you call it candy or dessert, this delectable treat is a salty and sweet recipe that starts with a layer of crackers such as saltines, Ritz crackers, or graham crackers that are topped with a caramel sauce. A layer of chocolate comes next, is melted by a session in the oven, and is followed by toppings such as M & M’s or sprinkles. Once cooled, “crack” the dessert by hand-breaking it into pieces or cutting it into squares with a knife. It’s a tasty and addicting candy dessert!
