It’s true everything is better with bacon. Have you ever tried candied bacon before? Well, hold on to your seats, because you are going to love it! Warning! It’s highly addictive! Only four ingredients are needed to make this wonderful candied bacon.

OVEN-BAKED CANDIED BACON

Oven-Baked Candied Bacon is a favorite way to make delicious and unique bacon. Brown sugar infuses the meat which is then baked in the oven until nice and crispy. It’s done in just minutes and tastes incredible! A little sweet, and a lot scrumptious!

WHAT TO SERVE WITH OVEN-BAKED CANDIED BACON

Candied Bacon is the perfect addition to any breakfast food. Eggs, pancakes, omelets, cinnamon rolls…the possibilities are endless. But many delicious appetizers, desserts, or entree recipes are elevated with a little (or a lot) of this tempting treat. Make sure to try a few yourself:

WHAT INGREDIENTS DO I NEED TO MAKE CANDIED BACON?

This recipe calls for only FOUR ingredients, you’d never know it was so easy to make. Here is what you need:

  1. packed brown sugar
  2.  rice vinegar
  3.  maple syrup
  4.  ground black pepper (optional)
  5.  thick-cut bacon Candied Bacon

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Prepare a baking sheet with aluminum foil for easier cleanup.

Place an oven-safe rack over the baking sheet.

Stir together the brown sugar, rice vinegar, maple syrup, and black pepper (if using) in a small bowl.

Place bacon on the rack.

Cook for 10 minutes.

Using tongs, carefully flip the slices, and bake for an additional 10 minutes.

Remove the bacon from the oven and flip again.

Brush the top with the brown sugar mixture.

Return bacon to the oven and bake for another 5 minutes. 

Remove from the oven and brush again with the brown sugar syrup.

Repeat flipping and basting every 5 minutes until bacon is browned and crisp, about 30 to 35 minutes.

Cook Time: 50 minutes
Total Time: 1 hour

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, optional
  • 1 pound thick-cut bacon

Instructions
