Ingredients Needed

Hawaiian Rolls – sweet and soft, but you can also use plain sliders, too.
Provolone Cheese – for the melty cheesy goodness that works well with the slider flavors.
Ham – use deli or leftovers.
Turkey – use deli or leftovers.
Bacon – cooked; adds that extra crunch and touch of saltiness.
Cranberry Sauce – use canned or homemade.
Dijon Mustard – to be mixed with the cranberry sauce to give it a punch of zesty spice.
Butter – melted. Brush on the tops of the buns to make them buttery and golden as they bake.
Garnishes – poppy seeds and minced dried onion for the top of the buns.

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half.
  3. Place the bottom half of the rolls in the pan. Layer with provolone, ham, turkey, and bacon. Add another layer of provolone cheese.
  4. In a small bowl, mix the cranberry sauce and Dijon mustard.
  5. Spread the cranberry mixture on the inside of the top half of the rolls.
  6. Place the rolls on top.
  7. In a small bowl, melt your butter.
  8. Brush the butter all over the tops of the rolls.
  9. Sprinkle with the poppy seeds and minced onion.
  10. Bake in the oven for 10-15 minutes until golden brown.
  11. Slice and serve!

Can I Make These Ahead Of Time?

Yes! Assemble the sliders as directed, but skip adding the buttery sauce and garnishes on top. You can assemble them the day before. Please keep them in the fridge, tightly covered, until you’re ready to bake them. Before baking, brush the tops with melted butter and sprinkle on the poppy seeds and minced onion.

Variations

  • Rolls – Replace the Hawaiian rolls with regular dinner rolls or any slider-sized rolls that you prefer. You can choose to leave the mini sliders theme behind. Opt for regular hamburger rolls for a bigger hand-held version.
  • Meat – Use leftover or deli versions of turkey and ham, or use one, rather than both. Use just bacon or omit it altogether.
  • Cheese – Swap out the provolone for Havarti, Gouda, or Swiss. All are excellent choices that will melt easily on the sliders.
  • Cranberry Sauce – Replace the cranberry sauce with apple butter or orange marmalade.
  • Garnishes – If you want a little more kick, try using Everything seasoning instead of poppy seeds. Plain sesame seeds work, too, or you can skip the garnishes entirely.
