Ingredients Needed

Apple Cider – chilled. Use cider rather than apple juice. The cider has a more intense flavor.
Ginger Ale – chilled. Adds ginger flavor as well as carbonation to the punch.
Orange Juice – chilled. I like to use no pulp OJ because it gives a cleaner look to the punch.
Cinnamon Sticks – for a garnish in the punch.
Fresh Fruit Garnishes – apple slices, orange slices, cranberries for garnishes in the punch.

Can I Make This Thanksgiving Punch Ahead?

Yes, you can make it up to a day in advance. Combine all the ingredients except the chilled ginger ale. Keep it refrigerated and add the ginger ale right before serving, that way the sparkling bubbles will be fresh and effervescent.

Do I Need To Add Sugar?

No, you don’t. The apple cider and orange juice are already naturally sweetened and the ginger ale will already have sugar added to it.

How To Keep The Punch Cold

The usual way of adding an ice ring or ice cubes to liquids to keep it cold is one way to go, but I suggest adding ice cubes or an ice ring made out of apple cider and orange juice. This will keep the punch from being watered down. Just mix equal parts of orange juice and apple cider and freeze it in cube or ring form. Add to the pitcher or punch bowl right before serving.

If you’re looking to add a boozy ingredient, any of the following would be great additions to this Thanksgiving punch: spiced rum, vodka or Fireball (cinnamon) whiskey. You could also swap out the ginger ale for Prosecco.
