The Difference Between Boneless and Bone-In Ham Spiral Ham

It’s very simple to make a boneless spiral ham. With there not being a bone means that there is less cooking time. A spiral-sliced ham means no need to slice up the ham after it’s cooked. This saves so many steps and time. A Crock Pot Spiral Ham is wonderfully easy and very delicious, plus it’s perfect for any occasion. Serve this Crock Pot Spiral Ham for a weeknight meal or use it as a quick and easy addition to any holiday table setting or family potluck. The flavors are delicious for any time of year, making it a winning main course no matter what the occasion is.

What if the spiral ham is too large for my slow cooker?

When cooking a large ham, follow these steps to cook it in your slow cooker.

  • You will need two sheets of tin foil that are 12 inches long.
  • Tuck the ends all around the edges of the Crock Pot and then gather them together in the middle and fold the ends down.
  • You don’t need to completely wrap the ham in foil—just tuck it down the sides of the slow cooker. You will be making a “roof” for your ham.
  • To keep the heat in, place a towel over the top of the tin foil tent.
